The contemporary Parisian home of French designer Stéphanie Coutas

Stéphanie gives her own abode a new lease of life with classic styles and modern patterns.

Located in a highly accessible area, designer Stéphanie Coutas’s flat is a mere two minute walk from Avenue Montaigne and Champs Elysees. In order to best display the extensive art collection that she’s built up over the years, she decided to renovate her space and, 18 months later, a luxurious yet breezy space was born.

She created the ceiling around her Paris chandelier – which she designed in collaboration with Baccarat – designing the rest of the ceiling’s pattern from the first circle. She was also greatly inspired by artist The Kid, who she commissioned to create two large portraits. She ended up loving them so much that she created a backlit, curved wall especially to showcase them.

Click through our slideshow below of Stéphanie’s home.

The art pieces I am the Alpha, I am the Omega, I am the Beginning, I am the End. by The Kid take the pride of place in the living room.

The living room is an unofficial gallery for Stéphanie’s creations, such as the Versailles rug, created in collaboration with Tai Ping, and the Paris chandelier.

Stéphanie designed the Mikado dining table with a black marble top and a bronze support in gold polished brass and embossed bronze.

The Arborescence chandelier by Galerie Negropontes hangs above the dining table, which is set with tableware by Baccarat.

In the master bedroom, behind the comfortable bed by Elite and sculptural furnishings is a feature wall dotted with an Art Deco motif in nubuck.

Stéphanie clad the en suite dressing room and bathroom in a special marble with bronze veins. She also designed the vanity island and drawers, which are a combination of glass, black crocodile, bronze metal and chrome.

Stéphanie’s custom-made bronze shelves inserted with wood panels are a distinctive highlight in the study.
