Tom Dixon launches new autumn/winter 2016 collection

The British design studio’s new collection is shining, shimmering, splendid.

If we had to describe Tom Dixon’s designs in a mere few words, edgy and sophisticated would immediately come to mind. The British design studio has become synonymous with the lavish and the unconventional – particularly as seen in its lighting pieces, which were some of the first works that earned the studio its fame. The same tone is set with the brand’s autumn/winter collection for this year, which we previewed at new bar and grill Alto last week. We were able to see some of the pieces (including Fade and Melt) in the restaurant’s exquisite interiors, which were created by the brand’s interior design arm Design Research Studio.

Surprising shapes, shifting oil-slick sheens and, of course, plenty of gold abound in the new collection, from the iridescent Flask range to the smoky ombre of the Fade range, and to the geometric sci-fi aesthetic of Curve. The pieces debuted at Milan Design Week earlier this year and are now available for purchase at Landmark or via the brand’s online store.
